It has been coming for several days, but after the medical tests that took place earlier today, Sandro Tonali is now officially a Milan player. The midfielder has signed a five-year deal with the club, locked down until 2025.

As mentioned, the 20-year-old underwent the medical/fitness tests earlier today and signed his contract at Casa Milan after the Milan-Vicenza friendly. The Rossoneri have released the long-awaited announcement of the deal on their website.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Sandro Tonali from Brescia Calcio on loan with the option to make the deal permanent. The player will wear the number 8 jersey,” the statement read.

The Rossoneri will pay €10m for the one-year loan, spread over two years, and the buy-out option is set at €15m. In addition to that, there is also €10m in bonuses, meaning the total investment could reach €35m.

The midfielder played 35 games for Brescia last season and quickly made a name for himself in his first Serie A season. Therefore, it wasn’t exactly a surprise that many teams were interested in him, but fortunately Milan won the race.
