Milos Kerkez arrived at AC Milan one year ago and he has already left the Rossoneri, having failed to make a single appearance for the first team. In fact, AZ Alkmaar announced his arrival earlier this evening.
The Hungarian left-back was brought in by the Rossoneri in February of last year and he had a lot of buzz around him. However, he never came close to making an appearance for the first team and played with the Primavera instead.
On their official website, AZ Alkmaar announced the signing of Kerkez on a permanent basis. The left-back has signed a three and half year deal and Daniele Longo reported yesterday that Milan will get €2m for the sale.
“ALKMAAR-AZ has signed Milos Kerkez on Saturday afternoon. The 18-year-old is immediately taken over from the Italian superpower AC Milan and signs a contract in Alkmaar until mid-2026. The left-back will play with shirt number 26,” the statement read.
Kerkez sparked some controversy on Twitter last night as he published a rather untasteful message to Milan over the lack of first-team minutes. He deleted it quickly and then published a more professional message.

I’m not really mad that we sold him but I think it wasn’t a fair price. If he were a Chelsea academy product, he’d probably be going for thrice or quadruple that amount. It’s as if we’re bad at selling.
The thing is, he could have at least been tried in the senior team for the next 6 months before sale.
You wanna spell Theo with an unproven 18 year old while we’re fighting to stay in Top 4?
He wouldn’t be replacing Theos minutes, he should have taken ballo toure’s. Couldn’t have been worse than fbt
Do you think that FBT is great back up for Theo??? Since Milan signed FBT from Monaco seems that milan has no trust to their academy…
Meh, he looks a bit thick doesn’t he?
