AC Milan have completed the signing of Leonardo D’Alessio from Roma. The youngster will join the Primavera side and it will be interesting to see him in action, believed to be a very talented player.

Milan’s Primavera side have struggled a bit in the last few years and this hasn’t escaped the management. Therefore, a few signings have been made for the team and D’Alessio is one of them. Earlier today, the arrival of the right-back was announced.

On their official Twitter account, Roma confirmed the departure of the 18-year-old, who made two appearances for the Giallorossi’s Primavera side. The player recently made his debut for Italy’s U18 side and managed an assist in the process.

“Young defender Leonardo D’Alessio has completed a permanent move to AC Milan. Good luck for the future,” the statement read.

As said, Milan’s Primavera side have struggled lately and only narrowly avoided a relegation play-off last term after gaining promotion to the top flight. For a club like Milan, a better academy is arguably needed.

  1. This is also using the transfer budget, isn’t it? So they are using the remaining budget to sign U-19 players who can solve Milan’s lack of academy product in the long run.
