Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Bologna clash – Paqueta returns, Caldara out

By Isak Möller -

After the win against Parma, AC Milan are gearing up for yet another away game, taking on Bologna on Sunday evening. Just before Stefano Pioli’s press conference kicked off, the squad for the game was announced

The manager has decided to include 23 players in the squad. Lucas Paqueta is back after missing out on the game last weekend, having struggled with a muscle injury. Caldara, on the other hand, isn’t included as he played with the Primavera today.

Goalkeepers: Donnarumma A., Donnarumma G., Reina.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Gabbia, Hernández, Musacchio, Rodríguez, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Biglia, Bennacer, Bonaventura, Çalhanoğlu, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá.

Forwards: Borini, Castillejo, Leão, Piątek, Rebić, Suso.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanEye on Twitter), Pioli won’t make any changes to the starting eleven, as the performance against Parma was very good. With a bit more composure, they could have scored even more than one goal.

Hopefully, they can replicate the performance tomorrow, as they sure need it. With just three games left until Christmas, it would be good to finish strong, as it might be too late after January.
