Ahead of Stefano Pioli’s press conference at 2 pm, speaking to the media on the eve of the clash with Sassuolo, the manager revealed the 23-man squad for the encounter. All in all, there are no big surprises.
Following two consecutive wins, Milan will be looking to add another one to their tally, gaining confidence ahead of the important game away at Atalanta. However, they can’t afford to take anything for granted.
Mattia Caldara is back in the squad after recovering from his ACL tear. The defender has played two games for the Primavera side and his knee has responded well. It remains to be seen if he will be given a few minutes tomorrow afternoon.
Fabio Borini, on the other hand, will miss out as he hasn’t been included in the squad. Thus far, there have been no reports on the reason behind this decision, although the most likely would be an injury.
