Official: Pioli names 24-man squad for derby clash – Romagnoli out; Rebic returns

By Isak Möller -

With around seven hours left until the clash between AC Milan and Inter, Stefano Pioli has announced his squad. 24 players have been called up by the manager and there is one notable absence.

Theo Hernandez is serving a one-game ban and will thus miss out on the action this evening, handing over responsibility to Fode Ballo-Toure. Alessio Romagnoli hasn’t been called up either due to adductor inflammation.

The captain wasn’t expected to start but it’s still a blow in terms of depth. On the other hand, Alessandro Florenzi and Ante Rebic are both back in the squad after having disposed of their respective injury. Down below is the full list, per the official site.

GOALKEEPERS
Jungdal, Mirante, Tătărușanu.

DEFENDERS
Ballo-Touré, Calabria, Conti, Florenzi, Gabbia, Kalulu, Kjær, Tomori.

MIDFIELDERS
Bakayoko, Bennacer, Díaz, Kessie, Krunić, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

ATTACKERS
Giroud, Ibrahimović, Leão, Maldini, Pellegri, Rebić.

It will be a very exciting clash as the San Siro is sold out and Milan could move ten points clear of Inter. The kick-off is set for 20:45 CET and it should be a great view underneath the floodlights at San Siro.
