GdS: Origi focused on special gym work during his recovery to star for Milan

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan forward Divock Origi was no stranger to the gym during his recovery from injury as he was desperate to get fit and help the Rossoneri, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today (via Milan News), there was a heavy emphasis on muscle work for Origi when he was at both Milanello and back in Belgium trying to recover from the injury he had when he signed for the Diavolo.

He has suffered two injury relapses since joining the club but in the recent international break, he went back to Belgium to see the national team physiotherapist who has worked with Milan legends Andriy Shevchenko and Pippo Inzaghi in the past.

This special effort has all been put in so that Stefano Pioli can have the former Liverpool man as an option in the run-up to the World Cup. He also wants to be fit enough to head to Qatar with Belgium.
