CorSport: Origi keen to impress as first Milan start looms against Monza

Divock Origi will be keen to impress as he is set to be handed his first start since joining AC Milan from Liverpool in the summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today (via Milan News), the Belgian forward is set for one of the biggest days of his career so far.

Origi joined Milan with a serious injury and spent the first chunk of the season trying to get fit and available for more than five minutes at the end of a match.

There have been two times where he looked set to make his first start, against Sassuolo and Sampdoria, but he then suffered a new injury and was forced to let Olivier Giroud continue his dominance in attack.

This time though, he has not suffered a setback and Giroud is certainly in need of a rest so Stefano Pioli is set to give him the nod.

  1. Lol let’s see if he can get past the looming warmup without injuring himself, then we get to the looming start.
