Origi praised by Italian newspapers for his performance against Monza – the ratings

By Isak Möller -

Divock Origi scored his first goal with the AC Milan shirt last night, after struggling to recover from an injury at the start of this season. Rightfully so, the Belgian was praised by the newspapers this morning.

Origi arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool ahead of the season but his first months were ruined by injury problems. Finally, he seems to be finding his groove again and yesterday’s display was a testament to that, bagging his first goal as well.

In addition to playing really well, winning duels and making important runs, he scored with a thumping effort. The newspapers, as compiled by MilanNews, understandably gave him a good rating for the performance.

Tuttosport: 7
Gazzetta: 7
CorSport: 6.5
CorSera: 7

In our player ratings, Origi got a 7.5/10 as he was very active during his time on the pitch. He didn’t just work hard, but he also succeeded with his moves and certainly showed why Milan decided to bet on him.
