AC Milan are likely to take a look at Tommaso Pobega in preseason to evaluate if he could be useful for next season, it is claimed.
Calciomercato.com reported yesterday that several clubs have kept an eye on Pobega recently, but above all Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt. Both have probed the ground for a deal but Milan could decide to keep Pobega for next season as a squad player.
The journalist Carlo Pellegatti (via MilanNews) talked about Pobega’s future and noted how Milan need reinforcements in midfield, especially with the African Cup of Nations in January that will see both Kessie and Bennacer leave.
Pioli who wants to see Pobega in preseason and understand if he can be adapted as part of the double pivot, but at the moment he is considered more a mezzala having played a bit further forward in a 4-3-3 for Spezia this season. When a midfielder scores goals like Pobega did (6 in 20 games last season) it also raises his valuation.
