AC Milan bounced back from the 0-0 draw against Sassuolo with a huge 3-2 win against Inter in the Milan derby. Once again, the average positions of the players painted a clear picture.
Compared to the game against Sassuolo, the Rossoneri made better use of the space on the pitch last night. They often switched sides and made sure to stretch the Inter defence, while allowing Rafael Leao to roam free on the left flank.
As you can see in the photo below, Olivier Giroud and Charles De Ketelaere were aligned, while Sandro Tonali and Theo Hernandez made sure to cover the left flank. It was clearly a recipe for success as Leao got the space he needed.
