Photo: Comparing Milan and Inter’s reserves this season – Rossoneri on top

AC Milan and Inter are battling it out for the Scudetto with just four games to go, making for an exciting season finale. As a result of this, the newspapers have decided to take a more in-depth look into the situation. 

Among other things, Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below) decided to take a look at the reserves of the respective team and the average ratings. Many believe that Inter have better depth but the numbers show something else.

The newspaper picked out Tatarusanu, Krunic, Saelemaekers and Diaz for Milan, as well as Radu, Vecino, Vidal and Sanchez for Inter. As you can see below, the ratings of the Rossoneri are superior.

  1. Instead of ratings why don’t they compare actual output. Inters subs (Sanchez, Corres, DiMarco Gosens, Darmian and Gagaliardini) have combined for a total of 14 goals and 7 assists.

    Milan’s subs ( krunic, Maldini, Rebic, Messias, Florenzi, Castillejo, Bakayoko, Ballo) have 9 goals and 3 assists between them.

    Ratings are subjective, stats aren’t. I Ter undoubtedly has produced more from their players coming off the bench. We saw that the game before and throughout the season. Let’s not try to pretend Milan subs are quality, they aren’t
