Photo: Ibrahimovic seemingly drops manager hint on Instagram – “4-3-3”

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are expected to appoint their new manager at the beginning of June and in light of this, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recent post on Instagram appears to be a hint. However, it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Ibrahimovic has a very important role at Milan, essentially acting as Gerry Cardinale’s right-hand man, and he has had a huge say in the managerial pursuit. The latest reports suggest that the Rossoneri have opted for Paulo Fonseca as their new manager, also convincing the Swede.

On his Instagram earlier this evening, Ibrahimovic published a photo of him on the bench at San Siro with the captain “4-3-3”. Fonseca has used that formation quite a few times this season, even if he mainly relies on the 4-2-3-1 which Stefano Pioli has used a lot as well.

It could just be a classic Ibrahimovic post, cryptic and with little meaning, but he’s now part of the management and communicating with the fans in a professional manner is necessary. In any case, the fans should know the decision in a week’s time or so.

  1. Not sure what the point of these crumbs is….. A management that prides itself on secrecy doesn’t drop crumbs. It drops bombs!

    So drop bombs! Enough foreplay.

  2. Ruben Loftus, Reijnders and strong new defensive midfielder could make defence much stronger. And new striker with Leao and Pulisic could make effective trident in attack. With possibility that Chukwueze might upgrade his game next season.

Now all depends, can Milan keep Theo who is most important star?
Should club sell Maignan and risk with new but cheaper goalkeeper? And with that money bring central defender who would make stronger pair with Tomori?

Can we bring much powerful right back than Calabria ?

    1. RLC is a decent squad player at best.

New DM, Bennacer and Reijnders should be the plan.
Adli, Musah and RLC the back ups (if pretty poor ones)

  3. Fonseca said he’s open to play 433 and considering the crop of players we have now, we’re 70% built for 433. Or maybe 343 which he already played with Roma.

  4. No serious director would be communicating like this ,neither playing with people’s minds in a dedicated period. Grow up

  5. He Who Talks Loud, Says Nothing Exaybachay /Nobody.

As much as i like ibra the player i seriously hope he is limited in any decision making,

  6. Fonseca is a decent coach but not an exciting one we milans fans want. I would have loved for us to hire either Spaletti or Gasperini. Motta was also excellent but Juve got him.

  7. Calabria , OUT !! (not a starter} BENNACER, OUT !! ( GONE ! ) CHUKWUEZE, OUT !! ( GONE ! ,THE ONE FOOTED WONDER ) LOFTUS CHEEKS, (NOT A STARTER , IS PHYSICAL,HAS NICE SHOT BUT, BUT, BUT DOES NOT HAVE GREAT FIRST TIME VISION !! )

  8. Already fed up, sick and disappointed by transfer strategy of bright sparks who are supposed to be milan management these days. Others act and move on fast ….. we simply talk, think and do nothing. The saga to replace pioli went on for weeks on end …. were supposed to get a giant and got a mouse instead!!!!!

Others hang on to their stars – we say loudly we are ready to listen to highest offers for theo, leao and maignan …. just imagine inter letting go of barella or lautaro!!!!

And then we are supposed to chase every single player with an empty chequebook ….. zirkzee, buongiorno, giurassy, jonathan david, brassier, sesko …. all empty talk ….

  9. from a Lion “king of the jungle” to be the coverboy “protector of the clowns”.. Z what they’ve done to u?
