Pioli confirms intent to make January signings: “The club are willing to intervene”

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli has confirmed that the AC Milan management are ready and willing to provide reinforcements for his squad in the January transfer window.

Tommaso Pobega and Noah Okafor are the latest to join the injury list with the former having undergone surgery. Marco Sportiello, Marco Pellegrino, Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, Mattia Caldara and Yunus Musah are also out at present, leaving various departments stretched.

As Pioli confirmed in his pre-match press conference, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani are aware that the squad is a bit thin in certain areas and also that the plan is to address it next month.

What do you need in January?

“The club knows what our needs are. The club are willing to intervene in January.”

According to the latest from Sky, Milan plan to add three reinforcements in the January window: a centre-back, a left-back and a striker.

A report earlier this week highlighted how bad the crisis is when it comes to injuries, and while the main focus must be to fix that, some fresh faces would help.
