MN: Pioli’s dancing and Ibrahimovic’s hugs – the celebrations after beating Atalanta

By Oliver Fisher -

There were plenty of celebrations after the full-time whistle went at San Siro following AC Milan’s 2-0 win over Atalanta to edge closer to the Scudetto.

Milan went into the game knowing they needed a maximum of four points from their final two games to bring the league title back to the red half of the city for the first time since 2010-11, and the victory against La Dea ensured it became one.

MilanNews report that after the game even head coach Stefano Pioli allowed himself a celebration, joining in with the song ‘Pioli is on fire’. Together with the whole stadium, the Rossoneri coach danced and sang under the Curva Sud.

At the end of the game, Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who was an unused substitute – went to hug each team-mate individually before they then all together gave their salute to the Curva Sud and to the whole stadium.

  1. The fact that he was an unused sub today is a sign for me that he will play another season as that is not the zlatan way to end his career with ac milan.

Hopefully he has accepted a new attacker/coach role for next season while we grab a cl win 😛

    1. From your’s word’s straight to god’s ears! 🥰
I agree! This is not his way to end career.

I hope we will see him next seson for the last time! 😔

      1. As long as keeping him doesnt mean that we wont buy a marquee signing for upfront then i would absolutely love to keep him as he still has a lot to offer both onfield and off field but we cant expect him to play 20 + matches anylonger either.
Anyways it would be a weird end with us if he actually does plan to retire but pioli also said he hopes to have him playing for another season so it does seem like a likely scenario that he might stay for another year.
