AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli preached the importance of keeping concentration high as his side look for a vital win against Lecce.
The Rossoneri took care of business against Napoli and thus secured their spot in the Champions League semi-finals with Tuesday night’s draw, with a two-legged derby against Inter to follow.
However, securing qualification for next season is still far from guaranteed and that is why three points are needed this evening before the match against Roma on Saturday evening.
Milan are aiming to bounce back in the league with today’s clash as they have drawn their last two games. Inter won their game against Empoli earlier today and the pressure is thus on the Rossoneri to clinch the three points.
Speaking to DAZN, as cited by MilanNews, Pioli previewed what is another crucial match for his side given the battle for the top four.
“I think it’s important to keep the tension high, the concentration. The choices are dictated by an attentive team, today we need to do well,” he said.

“I don’t know if it will be like this, we want to start well which was our Achilles’ heel. Lecce is a very fast and quick team on the counter, we will need to take care of the ball. Playing well helps you win.”
