Pioli and Milan’s record against Bologna shows a clear advantage – the numbers

By Isak Möller -

On Monday evening, AC Milan will battle it out against Bologna in front of over 65k fans at San Siro. It will be a tough game for both sides but there’s no denying that the Rossoneri are the big favourites.

Bologna’s recent form is quite poor (no wins in the last four) and the opposite can be said for Milan, who have won their last three games. In addition to this, the Rossoneri and also Stefano Pioli have a clear advantage in the H2H record.

Milan have won 11 of their last 12 games against Bologna and they have always scored at least two goals in each of the last six encounters. Furthermore, they have always at least two goals in each of the last five home games, dating back to the 2016/17 season.

As for Pioli, he has 13 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses against the Rossoblu in his managerial career. It’s safe to say that Milan are the favourites, therefore, but everything can happen in a season finale.

  1. at this point in the season and the way we play against mediocre teams you can throw “what we did in the past” out the window, every game from now on out is a toss up, no “gimmes”, we can not drop any points and Monday we must take all 3 simple as that. The Scudetto is there for us to lose not win.

  2. The previous game wasn’t an easy walk. We won just because of 2 red cards handed to Bologna players.
Mihailovic is a great manager and he has a strong team. Focus, guys, don’t underestimate them.
