MN: Pioli gets his derby specialist back ahead of Inter game – latest on Origi and Rebic

Some good news has arrived for AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has Divock Origi has recovered in time for the derby against Inter, a report claims.

Origi and Ante Rebic were both forced to miss the trip to face Sassuolo on Tuesday night but Pioli declared that he was hopeful of having both of them back for the first Derby della Madonnina this coming weekend.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, today the team continued their work at Milanello in preparation for the match against the Nerazzurri and Origi – after the inflammation that kept him out against Sassuolo – returned to training with the squad. Rebic instead continued with his custom work.

Origi gathered a bit of a reputation as being the man for the big occasion while at Liverpool given his 6 goals against Everton in the Merseyside derby, so he will be very much looking forward to a clash against a city rival.

  1. Inzaghi will make a big mistake if Handanovic to be in the starting eleven on the weekend derby. Inter will surely be conceded by a goal or more. It’s time for the coach to put his faith on Onana; otherwise, the new recruited goal keeper will lose his confidence.
