Tuttosport: Pioli intends to keep Rebic in the Milan starting XI after Udinese display

By Euan Burns -

Stefano Pioli is planning to keep Ante Rebic in the starting eleven for the match against Atalanta after his display against Udinese, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today (via Milan News), the Milan coach was very impressed by how the Croatian forward played during the opening game of the season against Udinese and he will use him from the start against Atalanta.

He got the nod as the main striker against the Friulians because both Divock Origi and Olivier Giroud were recovering from injuries and had to start on the bench.

Rebic scored twice against Udinese as Milan got off to a flying start at San Siro. He scored the second goal after a flowing move and then he also sealed the points with a good finish in the second half to make it 4-2.

For that reason, Pioli is reading him by not putting Giroud straight back into the starting lineup.
