Pioli sends clear signal to the Milan fans amid Suso criticism

Suso hasn’t had the best of starts to this season, registering just one assist in the first eight games. Given how important he was last season, it certainly affects that team a lot.

After the 2-2 draw against Lecce, the Spaniard received a lot of criticism from his own fans for his performance. He was especially criticised for his defending, as he failed to track back when Calderoni equalised for the away side.

In fact, the hashtag #SusoOut was started on Twitter and the Rossoneri fans even managed to get it trending in Italy. However, Stefano Pioli wasn’t too happy with this, as he revealed during the press conference today (via MilanNews.it).

“Suso? We don’t take part in social media, we are a united group, we work to achieve important results, to be a team. When you attack a player, you attack me and above all Milan. We must be as positive as possible without hysteria,” Pioli stated.

The winger is expected to play from start against Roma tomorrow evening (Gazzetta Dello Sport via SempreMilan.com) and hopefully, he can take advantage of the opportunity and prove the fans wrong. However, it won’t be easy against a tough opponent.
