AC Milan lost the crucial game against Bologna and as a result, they can pretty much say goodbye to a top-four finish. All but a few players failed the test at Renato Dall’Ara and below are the ratings for the Rossoneri.
If you haven’t already, make sure to check out how we decide the player ratings. From the scale to what affects the rating, we have compiled everything there.
Starting XI
Maignan (6): He was crucial on the goal, with the long ball for Gimenez, and he had another good save before that. For once, he couldn’t do anything about the goals and aside from one or two dodgy moments on crosses, he did well.
Jimenez (4.5): The defending on Bologna’s winner was laughable, as he completely stopped in a crucial moment. Truth be told, he lost the 1v1 duel with Dominguez (it wasn’t him on the goal, but still) long before that and struggled to add anything in attack, or at least the crosses weren’t good enough. Very poor indeed.
Thiaw (5): It was a rough start to the game for him, with really poor positioning and sluggish reactions. He recovered slightly and had some good interventions, but also some poor giveaways and this wasn’t anything like what we’ve seen from him recently.
Pavlovic (5.5): He fought until the very end, as always, and mostly had positive contributions. However, he lost his man on Bologna’s winner and although the cross never should have been allowed in the first place, he needed to do better. As such, we can’t give him a pass tonight, even if he was the best defender overall.

Hernandez (5): It was an average display if we compare it with his other performances this season, i.e. not very good. The few times he did get forward (well) in attack, he failed to find teammates with the crosses and defensively, he often left too much space open.
Fofana (5.5): Some good contributions, some very poor. Rating Fofana in the last few months has been a tough one, and I don’t mean between good or bad. I think we can all agree he hasn’t been good enough and that was the case tonight as well, but determining how bad is always difficult with him.
Reijnders (5.5): Way too anonymous in the first half and for large parts of the second half as well. He was responsible for some corners and those certainly could have been taken better, while he also held back a bit with the difficult passes.
Musah (5.5): The American had some good intentions, especially down the right-hand side, but the final touch was missing as always. The pass for Gimenez inside the first 23 seconds, the crosses with no destination and the shot more or less straight at Skorupski after a great run. Sadly, we can only judge the end product.
Joao Felix (5): He occasionally dropped down and that gave Milan some space. However, he wasn’t good enough on the ball overall and didn’t really bring anything decisive to the table.
Leao (6): It was a tough game for him in general, as was expected against a strong De Silvestri, but he got Milan’s only goal after a great run and composure in the 1v1 with the keeper. He can do more, for sure, but the goal gives him a pass here.

Gimenez (5.5): The assist was good, don’t get me wrong, but aside from that he was really quite disappointing. He missed a big chance inside the first 23 seconds, not even hitting the target even if the pass could have been better. His touch was also poor, failing to bring down a lot of balls, and he struggled to get involved.
Substitutes
Pulisic (5.5): He had a few poor giveaways and didn’t really add much to Milan’s attack, even if he came on in a difficult situation.
Jovic (6): Encouraging from him, managing what Gimenez couldn’t by bringing down the ball and finding a teammate. Given how Milan played, though, there wasn’t enough time for him to make more of a difference.
Abraham (N/A): We didn’t see enough to give him a rating.
At least we can stop saying ‘ we have a game in hand’ now.
That sums things up perfectly
Haha true
Lost as always with or without a game in hand
What a joke. Thes players have no hunger. This team is broken.
There is no team mojo
Team had mojo because Pioli the coach, Maldini and Massara who influenced the team visiting them during trainings
That was team work.
Now it is moneyball Cardinale. It doesn’t work so he should pay at the end.
There’s no money ball at Milan. Tell us about the last season under M&M. When you resort to lies, you won’t be taken seriously.
As always UnerAss and the mercenaries group defending their idiot boss Jerry with even more idiotic comments.
Do you even respect yourself trying to defend those clowns that in less than two years destroyed a scudetto winner team that by minimum competed for CL place every year under Maldini and Pioli.
Enough with this 🐂 💩.
Won the Scudetto. Then finished 5th, saved by Juve cheating.
Your timeline is disingenuous.
Not saying Uberhulk is entirely accurate either, but the constant push at Cardinale is tiresome.
Let’s talk Ibra, Moncada and Sarge.
@K or Mykid who knows 🤷♂️, what “Cardinale_out” is totally accurate..in two years a Scudetto level team is now sitting in 8th. It got dismantled for worse. The jibes are just extra and yes it’s all under Gerry’s watch
Milan has become a second tier team, if you can call it a team.
I don’t remember such a mediocre team that is practically outplayed and outclassed even on a player- to- player basis.
I don’t have any more appetite in watching Milan play.
I also find Italian players to be more keen to play for an ‘Italian’ team, as they strive to perform well for call-up to the National team.
My opinion – sell all foreign players and start a new team.
“Tell us about the last season under M&M”. Last season under M&M we reached the UCL semi final….this year we didn’t make it to r16. And finished 4th (5th if you’re ok when other teams cheating). Either way, even if we actually finished 5th, UEFA was always going to throw Juve out of the UCL. 2nd, 1st, 4th with all UCL spots is a healthy set of results. And yes, by their own admission they use sabremetrics aka “moneyball” approach. They thought the money for Tonali can be spread over multiple other players in order to make a better team. We’re currently 8th place in the league..
The painful part is since this coach or perhaps Felix came in to d picture pulisic or best player game has retrogress badly why the hell are we using loan players over ours we need flush the system
After this season a restart will
Do
Please dont play Jimenez on the right side he is even more worse than Emerson Royal.. Conceicao is married to Musah and Joao Felix..
Seems all the coaches love Musah. He must show them something in training we don’t see on match day. Jimenez won’t with Pulisic on the right side. weird.
He’s okay but the reason is there isn’t anyone else.
He shows plenty for a 21 yr old who plays multiple positions a game.
Imagine on a year that work rate, dribbling and good decision making.
He was bought for the future. Let’s give him the chance to develop (unlike we gave Fonseca who was at least getting Camarda meaningful minutes)
Milan has a development problem. Our fans seem to have no patience.
Pioli was terrible at playing kids and any mistake was an exile. Fonseca worked with a longer view in place. Sarge is too busy yelling to have any sort of long term view so Camarda rots on the first team bench Zeroli is at Monza and Torriani cannot get a start over a slumping Mike.
Ugh.
“Let’s give him the chance to develop”
Playing him has lead to this point: No UCL. Was it really worth it? Nope. He should have been sent elsewhere to ruin the other club’s season instead of ours.
Tell me someone, why, after sacking Pioli we still play 4231?
I’m convinced that if new coach play 4231, he should be sacked immediately.
I also dont understand it. If there is one system we cant play at this moment, it is 4-2-3-1.
Because we don’t have a destroyer and we pretend that two 8s sitting behind a 10 can do the job. This is why we all raged over getting Ricci. He’s a good player and plays the position we lack. We need an actual defender in the midfield.
I thought that Fofana could be that destroyer but he clearly can’t. He is an #8 who’s natural instinct is to roam the field. Thus he needs a destroyer #6 to back him up. Reijnders is also an #8 but with different characteristics. His more of a attacking playmaker. Thus he also needs a destroyer #6 to back him up.
This is so OBVIOUS that how come nobody in Milan management have a clue? How?
Well, there is no Director of Sport. Fix that, fix Milan.
To me it looked more like 442 until Felix went off.
With Leao LW, Musah RW and Felix and Gimenez as two up top.
Felix was typically right of Leao but in front of him.
Totally agree
I have been saying that 4231 is going to pin Milan down. This formation cannot work anymore.
Use 442 to have a more stable line up, bench leao and put up a twin attack.
The worst football I’ve ever seen in my life. I say it every week and then somehow it gets worse the next match. Embarrassing.
This is complete and utter incompetence from a coaching standpoint. These are the tactics of a 10 year old. As soon as we get the ball we just kick it forward as far as we can and hope Leao can maybe get on the end of it. There is no passing just kicking the ball forward mindlessly. This is not football.
We get outplayed every week by every team no matter how big or small. Even in the few victories we have been outplayed.
Conceicao should be fired immediately and never be allowed to coach again anywhere, for the good of the sport. We never looked anywhere near as bad as this under Fonseca. Firing him for Conceicao was a monumentally bad decision. Anyone trying to defend him at this point is not a serious person.
Did you see Bolognas pressing. As soon as we played on the ground they ate us up. That’s why they tried the long game today. But it’s just not something Milan is good at so not very surprising that they failed at it.
That’s called having no tactics and getting completely outcoached, which happens to us every match.
Kiddo, you need to grow out of this Fonseca boner stage your in. He would’ve done no better. We’re just as bad now, just a different looking bad. We still woupdnt have gotten ucl, and we still would’ve been beaten by all these teams. But you’ll make any excuse won’t you…
Papa you need to stop looking at my boner and listen to my words.
Fonseca had a plan and was executing it. Our defense had improved. Leao was playing a more complete game. And we ha done well in UCL. Momentum was moving in our direction. But oh no! Our poor Theo didn’t like mean ole Paolo.
Hell he got a hug from Sarge and that fixed him right up. Oh wait … Maybe not so much?
Your … What …. Salt peter(?) Sarge comes in and wins Super Coppa on the momentum and then systematically misses every target including “one good game in a row”. (BTW salt peter makes boners go away)
He gets heavy investment including a very expensive player he wanted (Felix) and … Wait for it … It is getting worse.
Pioli was done by his own account. Class guy and I am sorry it needed to happen. Fonseca had a plan and fans couldn’t get enough cream for their sore vaginas (since apparently such organ references are necessary to make the argument) to give him the time to address all the rot that is clearly in the locker room. Theo seems to be at the epicenter of said rot.
So rather than making a juvenile comment on an analysis you don’t like why not give an analysis counter to the one provided?
Hint: don’t waste your time. You can’t. Not because you can’t get a boner (obligatory organ reference), but because the facts to support such an analysis don’t exist.
Sarge signed a six month contract on the cheap. He brought in his agent’s valuable capital asset to showcase him at our clubs expense. Maybe we should be asking about the size of the kickback and if Milan will get some to offset missing UCL next year. (how’s that for tin foil hat BS)
SMH … Boner. Jeez.
Yes for sure we would have not make it to the UCL but at least we would have qualify to the next phase and have some more money to invest! Additionally, this is the worst football I have seen from the team since Giampaolo and that guy had a worst team! So there is no excuses this team can play better, but this coach is just a scam and worst of all he does not learn from his mistakes! Joao as a starter again, why? Pulisic your best player all season benched, Rjeinders in a defensive position where he does not have any impact! Musah as a winger, that is a bad joke! Come on is no rocket science this guy does not have any idea of what he i doing! The same as Zlatan and our glorious and coward owner who I have does not appear in Milanello even if by mistake!
minus all the sexual trash talk.
I fully agree with what @ MyKidPlayedSoccer is saying here.
Forgot to switch accounts there, kiddo? Embarrassing 🤡
I think you responded to me.
Glad you took that hint and didn’t try to make an actual argument.
Cheers Ian.
What in the actual F 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Mykid was K the whole time ???? 😮😮😮
Or at least that’s what it reads like. Sure as heck sounded like something K would say 😂
Won’t be surprised, Martin who was Goal’s admin in the past noticed ppl with multiple accounts
Imagine how clueless you have to be to think this. No shock it’s coming from Ian and IKWYDLS. The two mentally unstable conspiracy theorists who constantly have to make up stories in their mind because they can’t handle that other people don’t agree with them.
Mostly trying to deflect from how wrong they were about Conceicao. How incredibly wrong.
Buddy, you can stop trying to pretend it’s not you🤣 you forgot to switch accounts and got caught. Grow up
Wow you are cute. Insisting two people who post separate and often opposing views with different writing styles at the same person in lieu of the expected challenge to the analysis make you the real winner.
When has K ever given you ironic stick for the juvenile BS.
(Sorry for that Warren it was a test to see if this guy is serious. I can safely skip his posts going forward)
👍
Imagin̈e how stupid you would have to be to believe that… No shock it’s Ian and IKWYDLS, the two most clueless people on here. The kings og conspiracy theories. Mostly just trying to deflect from the fact that they thought Conceicao was a really good coach. It’s easier just to admit you were wrong. WAY WRONG.. quit while you’re behind guys.
This dude forgot to switch his account, what a loser!
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
it was smart because tactical fouls are not cautioned…They could have swung an axe at Felix…after 45 min it became very un-interesting because not a single play of offense went by when Milan actually were able to move the ball without someone getting hit or pulled off the ball. It works but its not what most people turn on the game to see…the product doesn’t sell well because having technical players is much less important than knowing when and how to foul…Felix was never a fit for this style…he is too reliant on technical ability and that is not enough, you you will just get taken down. He has now been fouled at least 3-4 times per game…I dont even like felix but there is a clear reason that yamal can be successful in la liga but would not be risked in serie a. he would take a beating.
Agree, crumbling to pressure of media and fans and putting the initial thought process to grave has ruined the entire season, then we were bad just in defence now we are wayward in all They must’ve be with Fonseca till May
Agree, I don’t like Fonseca either but he is a better coach than Conceição. We need a much higher quality coach if Leão and Theo are to reach their potential, if not might as well sell both of them because it obvious they don’t care what our coaches have been asking them to do.
They aren’t the right fit for Milan. The fact that one may have been better than the other does not globally change the picture. Conceicao was a knee-jerk reaction to save the season and face by the management. Except is turned out a lot worse than anyone thought.
Not even sure if anything fits right at Milan anymore… Watch Leao and Theo get sold and play lights out at another club – will just reaffirm that th problem wasn’t the players, or the coach, but the managerial derailment that got everyone to this point…
My best fact sentiments. I wrote a piece in the devil’s advocate article saying much the same. Arguing about who’s better between Sarge and the Fonz is silly. Neither one is even suited. And can’t really blame either the coach or the players. Management needs to decide is they want a hardliner coach and bring in the necessary players or keep the players and get a coach suited to them. Instead they did neither due to incompetence. I’m not sure they even know why they did tbh
“I wrote a piece in the devil’s advocate article saying much the same.”
You wrote a piece? LOL. This dude thinks he is writing articles for a newspaper or something.
You mean you left a comment in the comment section of an article basically trying to walk back the fact that you thought Conceicao was a much better coach that was going to turn things around.
We need to sell/ let go of no less than 15 players and that’s excluding Origi. Out: Emerson, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Tomori, Hernández, Jimenez, Florenzi, Fofana, Jovic, Chukwueze, Félix, RLC, Musah and Bartesaghi. I’m sorry to mention the youngsters, but truth be told. This does not cut it. Coach out too. This is nonsense.
Bro is depressed Asf😂💔
Maybe not all of them. But there are players who are starting to cause problems. Hernandez should be gone by the summer. People can argue about Maignan, but he has saved Milan many times. Even though he made some stupid mistakes lately. But Theo is not contributing anymore. I think he knows that he will be sold in the summer. So he starting to care less. Also, I think as it is happening to Amorim. It is happening to Conceicao. They took the clubs in the middle of the season, and it is harder to do so. Of course, that is no excuse. I do not think that Redbird will sell the club anytime soon. But, at least, I hope that this situation becomes like the one of Liverpool. They struggle for some time at the beginning, but now they are doing well. Of course, the big different is that they decided to bring a new coach, Klopp, who revived the team… I would love that Milan brings Gasperini. Even though people argue that he was not good at Inter, but that was long time ago, 14 years ago. I think we should give it a try.
Dead team with fraud coach
We all owe Pioli a huge apology.
Guy is a freaking genious for making this shitty f**ng team win a scudetto (a team that had much less quality then this according to the oracle himself).
#Bringbackpioli
LOL he left as the shop was sinking. I think he knew it was time. Much respect for Pioli.
Pioli was kick out with 1 years contract left. It look like management and owner want cheaper coach. 4 million pioli salary vs 2,5 million fonseca salary.
The legendary scudetto coach has been kick out.
In pioli last 4 season.
#season 2020/2021 second in serie a.
#season 2021/2022 scudetto.
#season 2022/2023 fourth in serie a. Semifinal champions league.
#season 2023/2024 second in serie a.
Always qualifying for champions league in last 4 season.
I supported Pioli but even he knew it was time to go. Management went cheap and anyone being honest knew Foncesa was not right just as Conceicao isn’t right either.
Nothing is going to be fixed in Milan until the owners sell for what money they can get now. A year later, Milan will keep depreciating.
They don’t know the first thing about football or how to maintain a proper squad.
The players they sold or loaned this window just make it clear. Who in their right mind would loan Bennacer or Morata with such a struggling team, while many deadwoods remain and average players are bought and paid higher salaries than those who have been at the club for years?
They don’t know how to keep star or good players. They don’t even know who such players are
Morata does not cut it. And Bennacer forced the move. Bondo is there to relieve Fofana and form a midfield duo with Reijnders (when he is fit that is). We don’t have any other midfielders. We might as well play Liberali. These are the facts.
They both forced the move because nobody wants to play under this screaming idiot Conceicao.
Exactly, 2 very professional acting players that are good role models Conceicao has an argument with each, supposed rift with pulisic, and with Fofana, fight with Calabria!! Notice all the players doing good before Conceicao got here are all in bad form. In fact, not a single player is in good form. Conceicao has mentally screwed their heads up. I will be shocked if he is still manager next game, I think this is it, he is gone!!
Never heard of this username before. Is this another one of your accounts K? 🤭
@IKWYDLS Whatever delusion you need to tell yourself rather than accept the reality that people are now coming to realize what I was right about all along. Conceicao is a clueless fool and Fonseca was the far superior coach. You’d rather believe conspiracy theories than to admit you were incredibly wrong about Conceicao. Quit while your behind.
There is a way, stop buying shirts and going to the stadium, that way it will impact their greedy pockets and when the value of the club is so low they will be forced to sell! This is the only chance I see or just a miracle if next season they get rid of Zlatan and Moncada and bring a sporting director who can save us from another dark decade!
Toto mužstvo nemá systém súhru tu každý hráč hra na seba stred ihriska neexistuje žiadna rozohravka vyhraté súboje nie sú skratka katastrofa
No gameplay what’s so ever. Notorious dai dai dai tactics have been used on almost every game this season. Inexistant midfield, Inexistant gameplay, Inexistant managment, Inexistant team. It’s not right picking on individual players as everyone is culpable. The real culprits are the ones that don’t play on the field. Managment and the ownership for not being able to build a team. Firing the ones who did much better than the current clowns. And insulting the fans, by not letting the fans display anything that is negative to the ownership, and covering their behind by sending moncada to sporting director school. Hope redturd cut their losses and sell quick. I’ve had enough of these clowns. Sell our great club to someone who knows how to run it.
Worst Coach in milan history always Starts Thiaw every game we either draw or lose
We need to build around Gimenez (our big signing), Leao, Pulisic, Saelemakers, Sottil, Reijnders, Bondo, Walker and Maignan. We can do with Hernández (one of the best, but not good enough now) and Thiaw for the rest of the season. Gabbia should play. Not much more is needed to say. Zlatan can do a stint as interim for the remainder of the season. Coach should be sacked tonight. I’m sad it’s like this. It has to happen.
Gimenez is just another Piatek. Wake up
“Zlatan can do a stint as interim for the remainder of the season” didn’t you say below that we should have only sacked Pioli for a top coach. But here you want Ibra with zero experience to coach for the rest of the season???
This team is broken. Not even going to get mad anymore. Don’t want to lose and never will but it will put more pressure on Gerry to take deceive action or risk losing on his invest.
Yep I think all we do is watch the games and hope to see something better than dump-and-chase tactics.
You signed out of your alt account this time?
Hahaha 😂😂😂
Deserved win for Bologna. They were by far the better team on the pitch.
Outside of 1 lucky bounce and couple counters Milan did absolutely nothing.
The kid Jimenez gets blamed for the 2nd goal while Mike Maignan gets a praise. Watch Maignan movement on the 2nd goal. The ball bounce couple yards away from him in area he should control. Instead of coming out and collecting the ball, Maignan for umpteenth time seats rooted at the goal line. He needs to be benched. He is a liability back there. He gets a lot of hype because of his feet but as a shot stopper and a true GKer ability he is below average.
Conceição goes into games with no plan, no strategy, no tactics. Don’t know why he insisting on playing Joao who brings nothing to the game but misplaced passes and another lazy player on the pitch.
Milan players all over the pitch are too nonchalant. In every game opposing players are quicker to the 50/50 balls.
Milan players flop so much that referees don’t even call actual foul for them. The ref was awful for both teams. Thiaw should have had another yellow for a foul that wasn’t called.
Fielding Felix for Pulisic is criminal at this point. Maybe there is truth to the rumors of a rift between the American and the coach. I mean, if I’m Chris, I am absolutely frustrated.
I’m sure he’s not impressed with a coach that yells at players like they are back in the academy. Conceição needs to realize these are professionals. If my boss came at me yelling because he didn’t like something I’d tell him to kick rocks. Most modern athletes want a leveled headed manager that helps them, not tell them they f@cking suck. We need a manager like Carlo or Klopp not TT or Conceição.
My kid played for some badass coaches with serious pedigree ((World Cup, Turkish league, MLS top scoring winger) and all rarely yelled.
All proves is nobody was listening to begin with.
Doesn’t matter the level.
For sure. Most of us played sports at some level and looked sideways when the coach yelled. This applies to CP11 more than most players given his personality.
I currently coach for a small Community College in my community and I never yell at any of the players.
You really need to slide your son who played football into conversations out of nowhere occasionally, right? Literally, nobody asked about your son and yet here you are.
‘old’ people says don’t praise your own son, let others compliment your son
Sorry I passed out in the first half so can’t comment..
So did Milan … In the second half too …
LMAO 🤣🤣man u guys r ruthless
Pretty sure the team is boycotting Conceicao at this point.
Where do you even begin with this team… and more importantly is it even worth it? We’re literally crawling towards a mid table finish.
Can’t do basic things right. Can’t control possession. Can’t drink any more than two passes together. Everything is a Can’t control possession. Can’t string any more than two passes together. Everything is a long ball. Everything is an individual play, no team unity or team play.
A coach that is not any better than the previous one. Technical formations that don’t put players in winning positions.
Everyone is checked out. Literally. And the geniuses who put us in this predicament will now be in charge of doing a reboot? What could go wrong …
Oh, and a website that is allergic to posting comments. Lol.
Did Conceicao pull a 4-0-2-1 formation? I didn’t see any midfielders or RW on the pitch.
And all the geniuses on here that said we should move on from Pioli.
Careful what you wish for….
Exactly
Tried to warn em but they’re hard-headed
With the service Gimenez is getting, I’m sure he already has second thoughts about his transfer.
I have been saying it for long Jimenez is neither a right or left back, he does not have both the physical and defensive quality to be used in those postions, Terraciano would have worked better in that position, and honestly the Coach needed to have replaced him earlier, Rejinders was completely off, he is exhausted.
I also noticed removing João Felix completely collapsed the team, we need to see more of Jovic and Sottil
“I have been saying it for long Jimenez is neither a right or left back,” tell the folks here and Ibra who said he was Theo’s deputy. He can be a winger but he’s definitely not defensively sound enough to be a full back. Not sure if he’s even fast enough too
I couldn’t believe how cooked he was getting all match long. I have come to see him similar to you. The crazy thing is I don’t know who is worse in the final third Musah or Jimenez.
You sack Pioli ONLY for a top coach Conte/ Ancelotti. Not for Fonseca or his compatriot. I’m in shock.
Out: Leao, Theo, Maignan, Tomori, Fofana, Royal, Chukwueze, Abraham, Felix, Jovic.
In: Diao, Tonali, Lookman, +++
– New coach: Fabregas.
– New formation: 3-4-3
New possible Line up: Torriani- Walker- Thiaw- Pavlovic- Saelemaekers- Tonali- Reijnders- Jimenez- Pulisic- Diao- Lookman.
Definitely agree on Fabregas. If Arsenal don’t beat us to him.
His next job will be a big club. Keep him in Serie A and let him bring his guys.
Dudes calling Leao out after he scored
He’s not a good player. Just one of the fastest players.
Barring a handful of players, every single person up and down the football club needs to go.
I was going to games all the way through banter, and I’m old enough to remember 96/97 and 97/98 well… This is worse than any of it. This thing pretending to be Milan isn’t getting any more of my money until things change, a lot.
Papa_frezz has boycott cardinale milan. You brave man papa_frezz.
Exactly. There is something at casa Milan that isn’t Ac Milan pretending to be Milan.
Some malevolent inept and incompetent entity.
We managed to find the worst of the worst in the coaching pool.
Completely in LOVE with our worst players : Leao, Felix and Musah. It’s now getting even worse than Pioli’s romance with Krunic.
And top it off he has feud with the only two good players this season: Pulisic and Reijnders.
Cursed be the day we decided to kick Maldini and keep stupid Zlatan who never knew how to play as a team in his career and they put him in charge of building one. Just baffling decisions
Funmy enough, Jovic was dropped by Fonseca for not connecting with others and bringing down the ball in Torino match.
How is Jiminez and even Pavlovic (even though he’s one of the few that shows some fight) rating not lower? And then Pav’s mistake led to Theo fouling the other player and therefore the goal. Then on the second goal, Jimi who got roasted all game got roasted again and Pav didn’t have his man. Granted I like his spirit and he did some good but Pav was very culpable today. Jimi is pure inexperience and is probably why these younger guys are not viable subs for first team players.
Anyways that’s just the game, we have bigger overall problems. I dont think Sarge making it to the end of the season unless we really throw in the towel. We might do the treble, coaching-wise lol 😂. Btw we aren’t making conference league this season lol 😂😂. Year zero in bound and two we won the Scudetto. Shameful!
Forgot to mention…wtf Felix. Never seen a player lose the ball more than him. I get the position he plays lends itself to poor pass rates but this is ridiculous
4 coaches in one year. #Competency.
Milan should serve as a cautionary tale of what happens when you don’t have competent people (Sporting Director) running a club.
I have never seen a RB play so bad, lol and people were critisizing Calabria for making a mistake here and there. Turns out its not so easy to be a RB when most teams attack on that side.
The game in general non existent. Bologna pressed us for 60+ minutes until they got tired basically, and even then they somehow were the better team.
Finally for some reason Jovic has been excluded from the team yet he is better than all of our other strikers. He shows more in 5 minutes than the others in 90.
On god tho, so many ppl trashed on Calabria, yet he’s been our best RB for 6 years, and we sold him this team that is now ahead of us and playing far better… and Jovic somehow never gets a nod despite being the not only the best at link up play as he always shows, but a proven poacher in the box. But we continue with Abraham and Felix and walker and emerson…the heart just feels gone…
Did you notice he doesn’t even start for Bologna either…LOL
Tons of dense ppl in this comments section haven’t either played football or they don’t know what they’re looking at when they look at the tv. Calabria is rarely beaten completely, by that I include his ability to recover. Sure u can get past him a few times but the window to do something is small because he very effectively tracks back. Look at how easily Jiminez gives up on the play when he got roasted. Calabria would immediately try to close him back down again leading to a pressured cross. It’s all u can ask for.
We know Calab can defend two of the best forwards right now in world football in Kvara and Mbappe. Our current crop cannot boast that (maybe outside of Walker?). His positioning in general is brilliant and his pace is good. Plus he has a natural ability for defending. High biggest issue was height.
I really don’t understand the hate for him. He’s a really solid defender. Best RB for many years in the team.
I told you that:
1. Sergio would be the final nail in Milan’s coffin
2. Joao Felix was a very bad transfer
3. This Milan is a mid-table team
4. Ibra is a secret Inter fan, working to destroy Milan from within
Hard to disagree, honestly. 🤣
The fourth point, I am really starting to believe it. lol
Dude it’s money. You think someone will give him his own money to make losing much more money?
RedBird got its own Karma by sacking all influential people in Ac Milan.
I know, the most pressing issue for Milan is they need an experienced sporting director. Ibra just does not cut it at this point.
I’ve been saying it all along, Jimenez cannot defend, and is not up to the clubs standards. Everyone defends him cause he’s young but he needs to go. I prefer Calabria.
Conceicao has to go immediately, worse results than even Fonseca. Ruined too many players and caused enough damage. How are you still.starting Joao Felix after 3-4 poor games straight.
Finally the other Giminez in my opinion was a mistake. He’s not a bad player, but he won’t score as much as he did in the Dutch league. Especially when probably half of the players in that league are working part time jobs. Serie A is much more defensive.
He got us out of CL and the excuse was, that’s a good thing so we can now focus on the league! Lmao, So much for focusing on the league. Y’all will continue to dish out all kinds of excuses for this terrible coach. lol.
But what do we expect from a coach that is bent on playing Musah as a RW every dang game? He doesn’t expect any creativity. Just kick the ball up in the air and hope for a miracle from the left side.
Y’all can’t blame Fonseca anymore cos that man played RB of Emerson and still managed to do as well as he could. Yes I miss Fonseca!!! And I’m glad what I’ve been screaming is finally coming to pass. Conceiçao is so Bad. That man doesn’t know nothing about coaching. Playing Musah as a RW when you have 3 natural wing players on the bench is criminal. What a terrible coach. You fans made this made by forcing Fonseca out without giving him till the end of the season. Now yall gotta lay on the bed you made. Enjoy relegation and no CL football.
Yes, it was our collective phone calls to Gerry that got him sacked. Not his awful football and terrible results. Conceicao being s**t doesn’t make Fonseca good.
Yes, this is the truth that is getting harder and harder for them to deny. First they started off with “Now we have a real coach in Conceicao.” They’ve quickly backpeddled to ” Oh they both are bad”. The reality is Fonseca was and is miles better than Conceicao. He had actual ideas and tactics he was trying to introduce to this team, trying to take a step up in the quality of football. We would still be playing in Champions League if he didn’t get sacked and probably still would have finished in the top 4.
Conceicao on the other hand has the tactics of a high school gym coach who just rolls the ball out on the field and tells them to kick it around. That and instructing our players to dive and flop all over the pitch. I can’t believe this passes for football in Portugal.
Ultimately it’s management’s fault for not having the courage to stand by their choice and caving to idiot fans.
If this management actually caved to idiot fans we’d have an Italian coach with a core of Italian players, and probably be in a much better position than we are now.
Respectfully, I completely disagree with you – they were both cheap fly-by-night options, and both sloppy mistakes.
Unfortunately, you’re saying this to a guy who has actively hated on every Italian player we’ve had for 2 years now. He was really desperate for Fonseca and emerson to succeed and he now gets really sensitive about the fact they failed
You just genuinley can’t get over your lover Fonseca being trash, can you. He was just as bad kiddo. Ik you’re desperate for ppl to forget that, but we won’t. We were just as awful and even spent time in the bottom half. Nothing would’ve been different. Get over it, it’s pathetic you still cry about it as if he’s some amazing coach with any proven success. He’s not, grow up
Hahaha K always arguing for Fonseca like he didn’t lead the team to 8th place after half a season and with a whole preseason. Like I said before it’s like arguing whether a sh!t sandwich is better than a turd meatball
He had us in 7th and now your favorite coach has us in the 8th position that we’re still in since he left so I guess if Conceicao started the season we would have been in 16th since he’s lost and drew way more games than Fonseca ever did.
I totally agree with K on Fonseca and I will defend and take him in this team everyday over Pioli and Conceicao
As Marotta said a few days ago, the first step to rebuild Inter was to create a core of Italian players who are attached to the shirt. Without a core of quality Italians who are Milan fans, Milan will not find its identity and spirit.
Where are the RedBird fans lately, convincing us of the great work being done? Have they switched to one of their other sporting projects already? 😂
I’m waiting to see if the replace the clown show that is management with competence at the end of the summer.
What replacement? There was an article today that moncada will be sent to a Sporting Director school. Can’t make this stuff up.
At that level you compete with external candidates.
Moncada goes to school but I hope it means he leaves to be director at SPAL
“we’re better than last year” were the famous words.
I wouldn’t be surprised if conceicao is fired by the end of the week. He has done WORSE than fonseca and who would of thought that? All th hype around him for being successful with Porto, big deal.
I have yet to see a good game from milan under him and I can’t see what his tactics are? We get dominated in posession to be more ‘direct’ but we don’t even have any chances. We can’t string more than two passes together. The midfield or double pivot was our steong point under fonseca and now it’s arguable the worst it’s been in years.
Theo has checked out of milan. Zero motivation and he doesn’t care at all anymore. Maignan all of a sudden garbage. For attack, pulisic who has been our best player is now degrading probably all thanks o always starting Joao felix. For leao, we all know he’s lazy, we all know he won’t track back. But why do they keep insisting on changing him? Never mind him doing the defensive work because he offers nothing at all. So let him be and do what he’s actually good at which is attacking. Gimenez I can’t bash because he’s just like giroud, he needs chances in the box to be relevant. I’m so sick of this of this season. Can’t wait to start fresh with this awesome management…
In the last few minutes I was actually hoping we didn’t equalise, because a point away to Bologna midweek looks vaguely passable on paper, and the truth is, they destroyed us for 90 mins and the manager is largely to blame.
All this talk of not having had enough time with the players. Is that the excuse for sending out the same team in the same shape every week even though it never f****ng works?
He has got to go…tomorrow.
Conceicao instructing Mike to kick it long every time he got the ball starting around the 70-75 min mark is absolutely poor tactics. We couldn’t build a goal from possession to equalize because of it. He gave Bologna exactly what they wanted a bunch of 50/50 balls which clearly Bologna was winning every second ball from the 50/50’s. Conceicao has destroyed this team, ik some will say it’s the players, but Sarge’s bulldog ways has mentally harmed this team and it shows on the pitch. Zero confidence across the pitch, something these players had a little of before 2 months with Conceicao. Before he resulted to having Mike kick it, we got to see better build up play once Felix was out. Felix has to be benched next game if Conceicao is still manager, if he doesn’t bench him then there has to be something in the terms of the loan involving Felix being guaranteed playing time. Listen, Felix isn’t a bad player, needs to show people he is more than potential but he is not the answer for Milan, the team are regressing ever since Conceicao started playing him. How can Conceicao not see that the line up should be. Leao. Gemeniz. Pulisic
Fofana. Tiji. Musah
You are right, once Felix went out they started to do better in the final third. Resorting to long kicks broke and momentum. This manager has no strategy.
And run a 4-3-3
Leao. Santi. Puli
Fofana. Tiji. Musah/Bondo
Theo. Pav. Gabbia. Walker
This will work better, allow the midfield to actually exist and be more defensive sound. The attack would be just fine, Pioli ran it like this and scoring was no problem. I doubt Conceicao will be at Milan much longer, Bologna dominated and deserved to win. This was one of the worst games this season and that’s saying a lot.
No Italian core; no success. All Italain players except Gabbia is gone. Gabbia himself on bench despite playing great under Foseca. Pioli, Maldini fired. Great coaches like Conte, De Zebri available in the summer. But no. Forget UCL and no decent transfer in the summer. I would get Gasp ; he will need time but look at how much success Atalanta had and also made a lot of profits over the years
You think Gasperini, who has worked for a decade in the best run club in Italy, would agree to become part of this circus? 😂
You like Gasp’s man management skills better than Sergio’s? 🙂
Yes, did you hear anything except Lookman penalty case? Gasp made a lot of ordinary players to fantastic players including lookman. Penalty incident was unfortunate but he had beef with lookman since he tried to force transfer in the summer. Despite this, lookman still plays and scored 2 in the next match. Atalanta will get at least 50 millions in the summer for him.
Look at Serge, he benched Pulisic, keeps playing Felix, Morata has left.
Tell me who is better again.
Italian players aren’t good enough!
Look what this team of foreigners is able to do.
There’s no way Italian players could do this stuff. This is next level stuff.
(Sarcasm alert)
It is time to say goodbye for top four. Sergio wont be here in next season unless there is miracle 7 team above ACM losing the rest of match. Losing 2 times in row are something terible. JF are worst transfer that sergio request, i never see other ACM player lost possesion more than JF, just return him to chelsea
Stop giving ratings to Musah, He doesn’t play for us. He plays against us.. Not possible someone can have so much bad decisions in the final third.. First I thought it was Bad end product but now this is becoming deliberate..
But but but… They say “he’s got potential” 😀 😀 😀
It’s like the potential would be enough to do even one single positive thing in a match. I’m still waiting for that to happen even though I’ve seen his every match in the Rossoneri shirt.
We need team play. There is no reason for rating individually.
We missing 1 world class centre back.
Tomori sale -> in world class centre back.
Theo can come back in next 10 games and extend contract for 6mill.
Walker good. Jimenez needs to gain experience so he is excellent back up.
Kalulu can stay after superb season at Juventus. Thiaw and Gabbia back ups.
With Fofana we need Ricci. Number 10 Reijnders.
Felix ge home.
Chukwueze sell Ruben Loftus sell and bring back Adli Pobega and Saelemaekers.
So with sale of Bennacer, Morata, Chukwueze, Tomori, Ruben Loftus, and with Exiting of Florenzi Abraham and Felix club can save some money and spend on Ricci and Centre Back.
Those are only small differences and details what this Milan needs.
After this to nite our beautiful club needs to be sold to new owners then get rid of zlatan and the rest of the hangers on the manager and coaching staff. At least 15of the players should go let’s bring the old milan back for our fans by god don’t we deserve it after this bloody mess.
Glad to see what the ‘big league’ is like, where there’s no room for ‘sentiment’, and we must always be ‘ambitious’.
Such ‘ambition’ has taken a squad that finished 2nd last season (stop living in the past/using last season as a benchmark) to 8th.
Maybe ‘sentiment’ also means ‘loyalty’.
You know like why is the collection of randomers not showing more loyalty to the club that has shown not loyalty to the previous mugs?
But don’t worry everyone this team is still ‘AC Milan’. It’s called ‘AC Milan’ which makes it ‘AC Milan’.
Takes this square I’m holding. I’m calling it a ‘ball’ so it’s a ‘ball’.
This ‘Parma ham’ from Denmark is called ‘Parma ham’ so it’s ’Parma Ham’.
This BMW I’m driving is called a ‘BMW’ even though it’s only got two wheels and I have to peddle.
Calling things make them so.
If you call
That was so bad. Totally dominated by a team that has a plan and wants to control the ball.
Fonseca was doing much better than this.
He had stabilised the defence. Had put lazy stars in their place and was rebuilding a plan in attack.
Conceicao has thrown all that out to look for counter attacks from ‘stars’.
Except their is not a solid defensive base. Either in the back 4 or double pivot.
He can’t show genuine improvement in the next 3 games we may as well appoint the Primavera manager until the end of the season.
In saying that. The root of all our issues start with poor management.
Poor recruitment. Poor leadership. Openly undermined Fonseca.
They do the most basic things poorly.
E.g. forcing Fonseca to announce his own sacking in the car park.
Another of my prediction came true. Top 4 is done.
What i don’t get is why loan players like Sottil and Bondo if Conceicau keeps playing garbage like Musah and Fofana?
And why Felix keeps starting when he plays like sh*t?
The banter era is coming 🙂
Need to find a combination that can properly advance a ball through transition to the forwards with space.
With Fofana in midfield? Really? He is the most catastrophic passer i have ever seen in ACM shirt.
Reijnders is too timid to be a world class anyway.
I always say fofana can’t play that guy loses ball possession more often than Bennacer.
You’re the one who is sad that Morata left, you have no business talking about anyone, clown.
With which coach? Conceciao???
Pioli out
Hahahahahahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣lolz
wow.. I’m watching the game on a white-black monitor.
It looks like “Milan” plays better, and dominated the whole game. It deserve the win! yeah
haven’t follow lately, striped shirt must be Milan. and I recognized the Captain 😉
Calabria got sub’ed on for Jimenez? because it happened at the same time lol
Did Calabria finally get on the winning side, can somebody tell me?! 😛
Ha ha
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Banter banter banter
Conceicao did something I considered impossible: to ruin a machine like Pulisic, make Reijnders like an amateur and Fofana like a clueless guy who looks like he never played football.
The first mistake Milan made was hiring Fonseca, the second was firing him to bring an even worse manager
Actually the first mistake was no sporting director. These amateurs thought building and running a football team was easy, it isn’t. They realised their mistake, but it’s going to come at a huge cost. I just hope the new sporting director has a clear plan to build around Italian players.
Not much to say. They should have tried to keep Pioli. Should have then hired someone better than Fonseca. Should have let Fonseca have the rest of the season since there were some positives and they were doing well in UCL. Should have gotten someone better than Conceciao. Should NOT have brought in Félix. They have to do a complete overhaul this summer and bring in a new coach. They need to hire a competent sporting director. No one should be safe outside of Reijnders, Pulisic, Pavlovic, Gabbia, and Santi.
Looser as usual.Have stop watching Milan since their first leg with feyernood cos I know this present Milan team don’t have any thing to offer.Honestly the management are waisting money on this players.
Where are all the RedBird lovers who said Italian players weren’t good and disrespected the goat Maldini?
This team of foreigners is trash!
Where are all the people that crying that top coach is the solution ? It is clear to everyone one now that coach is not the problem. The problem we have is more fundamental than coach.
Santiago GImenez is good for nothing player Jovic in comparison looked like Messi.
Performance reflecting leadership. Simple.
Thanks Gerry. You’ve managed to book another infamous record – how to deteriorate Scudetto and CL contenders in two years only.
The performance was horrible, and now it seems this is the chaotic way Milan plays. Disgraceful!!!
I honestly don’t think that Felix, Musah, Jimenez and Reijnders deserved more than 3. Maybe add Fofana to the list too.
Pavlovic was the only one trying and deserved maybe 5 but for the rest of them 4 is enough.
It looked like Bologna was playing against a relegating team. They were so much better in everything. It didn’t take 2 seconds to win the ball back from Milan players. It was a fng massacre.
S. Jimenez isn’t getting served properly as the team did with Giroud
You mean Gimenez – I was talking about Jimenez. But sure, Gimenez didn’t do anything else either but put the ball on the silverplate for Leao to score. Other than that we was absolutely useless.
*we=he
What do say about Como; doing well without much Italians playing for them? Italy, at the moment, doesn’t have any fantastic players. This is not the 90s or early 2000s. We’re going through a rough time like so many other big clubs this season. Has nothing to do with not having Italians.
