Pobega says Milan lacked ‘clarity’ against Torino but they will ‘start again tomorrow’

By Isak Möller -

Tommaso Pobega had a tough evening as AC Milan lost 2-1 to Torino after what was a very disappointing display. Speaking to the media afterwards, the midfielder admitted that it wasn’t good enough from the Rossoneri.

The youngster played from the first minute to give Ismael Bennacer some rest ahead of the Champions League decider against Salzburg. He had a tough evening and got a mere 4.5/10 in our player ratings, being way too rash.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Pobega stated that Milan prepared well for the game but that they lacked clarity during it. It’s something they certainly cannot afford to do again before the World Cup break.

On the game…

“There was a lack of clarity in the decision-making. When you make a mistake, it is difficult to be dangerous.”

Losing…

“A match does not determine everything. Now we have to put it aside immediately and start again tomorrow in view of the next matches.”

On the difficulties against the small teams…

“We prepared well for this match. Then the incidents change the matches. Today we weren’t lucid.”

On the performance…

“We thought we would be able to find more spaces. We had to be more precise.”

Milan’s game against Salzburg is scheduled for Wednesday evening and all they need is a draw to make it through to the knockout phase. Financially, it’s a game of huge importance and the pressure will certainly be on.

  1. #Pobega, i only see you just committing fouls. Can’t protect the defense line, can’t pass the ball to front. Not even run hard. You are not Milan level and just like a spy from Torino. We are running out of patient to you except Pioli.

  2. The game was a bitter pill to swallow and it was courtesy of Pobega,Tomori, and Laeo wasting chances upon chances.Pioli allowed Pobega to finish the match to me was conspiracy against milan
