Pobega assures Milan are ‘ready’ for Samp and admits ‘playing more helps me’

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has decided to make three changes to the starting XI for AC Milan’s game against Sampdoria this evening. Tommaso Pobega is one of the lucky players and he has a point to prove.

The midfielder, who returned from his successful loan spell at Torino this summer, has had a few average performances for Milan thus far. It will be his second start of the season tonight and this time, he will play alongside Sandro Tonali.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Pobega shared his thoughts on the clash and also spoke about his preparations for the game. He made it clear that playing time is very important for his progress.

How did you prepare for the match?

“Like many other matches, approaching it in the best way possible. We are ready to play a great match.”

On the coach’s confidence…

“Sure, playing more helps me to find a good dialogue with my teammates, I have tried to train in the best way possible from day one and I hope it helps me on the pitch.”

On the fans…

“In my opinion, they will make themselves heard as always. The matches in hot weather are all we are waiting for and we like it.”

The game will kick off at 20:45 CEST and it should be a good battle at the Marassi. Milan have won their last three games against Sampdoria at the stadium and could make it four for the first time since 1968.
