Rebic unlikely to return for Salzburg clash as injury persists – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic is yet to recover from his muscle injury and was forced to train individually during today’s training session. The minor but frustrating injuries thus continue to haunt the Croatian.

Rebic missed many games last season due to injuries and he was never able to find his rhythm after a promising start to the campaign. The feeling is that this season has started in exactly the same way, which is worrying.

As learned by SempreMilan.it, the No.12 trained separately during today’s training session as well due to a muscle injury. He’s unlikely to make it back for the Champions League opener against RB Salzburg, which is scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Fortunately for Stefano Pioli, at least Divock Origi has made it back and will be able to give Olivier Giroud some rest after three consecutive starts. It remains to be seen if the Belgian actually will start on Tuesday, though.

  1. Doesn’t a back problem supposed to be like week/2 weeks things for players at this level?
I mean it’s not his feet or knees. it should be treated by the staff pretty quick

  2. Here we go again with Rebic.
Wish we sold him when his ex coach wanted to buy him early in the summer. Milan could have bought Khvicha for 10 mil to back up Leao.
I like Rebic but he isn’t available most of the time and he is up there with the highest earners on the team.
Plus it forces Pioli to play Leao in every game in this crazy schedule this year

  3. Rebic & Saelemaekers was ACM’s important wingers back in 2020-2021, but now they only like 2nd choice. It proves that we are leveling up.

And the 1st team starting 11 that still in team since 2020/2021 is Calabria. And this season we raise the RB bar again with signing Sergino Dest. Calabria needs to explode again this year.
