With the entrance of Manchester City into the picture though, things are certainly getting a bit nervy.
Yesterday it was reported that City are preparing to send an official bid, after making their interest known. However, they want to act respectfully, so will not rush into proceedings, something which Fabrizio Romano has reported this morning.
In addition to this, the journalist has stated that a ‘formal opening bid’ should arrive in the next few weeks, taking into consideration that the Dutchman only wants to focus on the final few games of the season.
For the Manchester outfit, this is no problem at all, mainly as they do not want to be seen to go against his wishes as he is their number one target in midfield. A bid of more than €70 million will probably be needed, but reports have already suggested that this will not be a problem.
We dont deserve him let him go and enjoy his career in a club that has chance to win titles. The same goes for maignan, Leao, Theo. Lets go back to dark era. We are already on that path.

I actually can agree with this. No matter how good he can be, without funds from cl, you simply need to sell someone.
With Tonali I dont have the problem they sold someone, the problem was they just sold the wrong one. Tonali was the main man, the soul of the team, that was a big blunder to let him go.
But I dont see the Tonali in Reijnders, so for 80+, I will gladly accept and buy some cheaper italians to fight in the only competition we should be focused on next year. He is not that crucial, to be untouchable.
For me more untouchable than him is Pulisic. Or maybe, do not sell every star, but at least one must go. And if it wont be leao/maignan/hernandez, reijnders can be the one who will bring the funds.
If the team didn’t make it to the top 4 places that falls on the management and they shouldn’t get away with it by selling Reijnders. They did not bring in the right players to build a string unit (except Forana) and instead further fragment d the team.
I agree that Tonali shouldn’t have been sold but you cannot compare Reijnders to him as they are different players. Reijnders would not be out of place in the elite teams in Europe.
If Redbird want to fix this mess they have the funds to do so even without Europe next season , after all the only thing they excelled at was bringing in revenue .
They must bring in a top SD, top coach who knows Italian football and sell all the fringe players who are not contributing.
If someone needs to be sold it’s Theo because has an expiring contract.
Lastly ,they should get rid of managers who have done nothing but rubberstamp this failure of a season.

Nope. Instead of being lazy as f*** they should start selling the horrible mistakes they wasted money on. Chuk, Emerson, Musah etc. The list is long. Getting rid of their salaries and gainig a few euros from here and there (Benny, Colombo, Adli, Pellegrino, Lazetic etc.) would be 1000x better option than just selling one of the better players in the team.
Quality will always win over quantity in a game with limited number of players on the pitch. Always.
