Reijnders says Milan want to ‘end the week well’ in Verona: “We want a good feeling”

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Hellas Verona, Tijjani Reijnders spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the clash. Following Juve’s draw against Genoa, the Rossoneri have the chance to go three points clear.

It’s been two positive weeks for Milan with 4/4 wins, reclaiming second place last weekend, and now they will be looking to defend that spot. Juventus only managed a 0-0 draw at home to Genoa and as a result, the Rossoneri could move three points clear.

Speaking to MilanTV, Reijnders shared his thoughts on the game as well as the upcoming international break. The Dutchman has been called up for his national team and will be looking to arrive at the camp with a good feeling.

On today’s game…

“We want to end this week well, before the international break, and remain in second place. We want to have a good feeling when coming back after the break.”

The national team call-up…

“I’m very proud, it’s always an honour to be called up for your national team and to play in the orange jersey. I can’t wait to go back to Holland again and play there.”

Stefano Pioli has made some changes to the starting XI and the big surprise is Noah Okafor in the No.9 role. Olivier Giroud played the entire game on Thursday so a change was expected in that position, but it was first believed that Luka Jovic would get the nod.
