Relevo: Attempts in vain as Real Madrid take Milan loanee off the market

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan and Brahim Diaz are expected to part ways at the end of the season, in spite of the Rossoneri’s attempts to keep him. In fact, Real Madrid have decided to keep the playmaker and are also preparing a renewal.

Diaz first joined Milan in the summer of 2021 on a season-long loan, which was then extended by two years. The No.10’s contract with the Rossoneri will thus expire this summer and he’s set to return to Real Madrid.

According to Relevo, Milan have tried to open negotiations with Real Madrid for the permanent signing of Diaz. However, the Bernabeu side have decided to keep the playmaker and are also preparing a renewal with an improved salary.

Since joining the Rossoneri, Diaz has scored 18 goals and assisted an additional 14, registering 123 appearances for the club. This season was a big improvement for the Spaniard (7 goals and 6 assists) and that’s probably why Real Madrid have decided to take him off the market.

  1. Don’t waste money on him and time to discuss with Real.

I don’t understand how Maldini and Massara invest money in RLC and so much time in Diaz, Instead concenetrate on SMS before Inter or Napoli gets him!

        1. Of course. I have said this already too. And there’s no lead on his being a boyhood Milan fan / anything that’ll make Milan as preference.

  2. We need to finish Kamada deal and then get either SMS or Frattesi. Midfield will be done. Forget about crappy RLC and about Diaz.

  3. No No No…. Let’s call their bluff and make an easy 5M. Let’s “buy him” . Pay the 20M. – Madrid wants him so bad, they will buy it back for 25M or so. Done, Easy money. no?

    1. haha, yes 🙂
smart post, I also believe it’s a bluff.. Real puts him “off the market”.. so ridiculous, this guy will never ever play a single game for Madrid, let’s be serious

  4. Good luck Brahim! To replace Asensio? On the bench maybe. After half a year on the bench, he will come back on loan…

  5. As a so called Milan fans, the very least thing we can do is to respect him. As much as you subjectively belittle his 3 years of serving in Milan, he always gives his all. Has a wonderful relation with his teammates. Always seems like he’s been here for more than 3 seasons.

Just hope that this won’t bite us back in the end. This ‘happy to see him leave’ behavior is much worse than the same case happened with Hakan; based on the way both players treated Milan.

  6. This is business. Properly run businesses don’t hire people just because they work hard or because they’re nice, they hire them to do a specific job. Diaz can’t.

  7. Correct me if I am wrong, but, don’t we have an 22 mil buyout option, and Real a 27 buyback?
Since they have “decided” to keep him, why don’t we trigger the clause and gain 5 million?

  8. I believe Diaz is a player worth having for Milan. If We could cough up $35M for Flop CDK I see no reason why we can’t pay $25M for Diaz. He has delivered Milan a great deal this season.
