AC Milan are considering a move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic as an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to a report.
Ibrahimovic is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management desperate to fix both the goalscoring and leadership issues.
A number of reports on Thursday claimed Milan are upping the ante once again by trying to bridge the gap, while Ibrahimovic himself has seemingly declared that he is open to a return, and it was even suggested the Swede could land in Milano on Friday with agent Mino Raiola to discuss a deal.
According to the reliable MilanNews.it though, Milan have established a back-up plan if Zlatan says no.
They report that Luka Jovic of Real Madrid is the alternative to the 38-year-old, with the Serbia international having scored just once in 11 appearances for Real Madrid since his €60million arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt over the summer (via Wikipedia).
A loan deal could be possible for Milan, with Los Blancos unlikely to let such a large investment leave permanently after six months.
