Reports: AC Milan propose swap deal to secure PSV captain – the details

By Isak Möller -

Unlike the left-hand side of the defence, AC Milan are struggling on the right. Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria have failed to perform at the highest level this season, prompting the Rossoneri to search the transfer market.

According to Neue Zürcher Zeitung and RTS Sport, Milan are keen on signing PSV’s captain Denzel Dumfries. In the negotiations regarding the future of Ricardo Rodriguez, who is on loan at the Dutch side, the 23-year-old has been brought up.

The Rossoneri would like to include the right-back in the operation that could see Rodriguez join PSV permanently. However, as the outlets note, the price tag of Dumfries is higher than that of the Swiss international.

Initially, Milan were banking on the Euros to help increase Rodriguez’ price tag. However, now that the tournament has been postponed, the situation is very different and the San Siro will have to get creative.
