Report: Barcelona man refuses to lower his request amid Milan, Inter links

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the summer window, AC Milan are scanning the market for opportunities, focusing on young players for the present and future. However, a few older players have surfaced as well.

One of these is Ivan Rakitic, who is expected to leave Barcelona this summer. At the age of 32, he still has a market but a move has suddenly become more difficult, as reported by Estadio Deportivo (via MilanNews.it).

The Croatian midfielder doesn’t seem willing to lower his economic demands, currently earning around €8m per year. Therefore, as few clubs can afford to much such an investment, the teams interested now have to take a step back.

As MilanNews adds, the likes of Milan, Inter and Sevilla are all interested in Rakitic. However, as Zvone Boban has left the Rossoneri (main man behind the interest), it remains to be seen if they will make an attempt for the Barcelona man.
