Report: Chinese club want to stun Milan and Man Utd in chase for Croatia star

Chinese side Dalian Yifang are ready to offer Mario Mandzukic a big money deal to reject AC Milan and Manchester United, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new striker in the January window due to their struggles scoring goals this season. Milan have netted just 16 goals in 16 games this campaign so far, with left-back Theo Hernandez the joint-top scorer with four goals.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the primary target, but Paolo Maldini admitted ahead of Sunday’s game against Sassuolo that the situation is becoming more difficult as time passes, suggesting that alternatives may have to be looked at.

Calciomercato.com then claimed that Milan and Juventus have held talks in the last few days regarding Mario Mandzukic, with the Bianconeri happy to sell to the Rossoneri in ‘favourable’ deal.

According to another report on Calciomercato.com though – who cite the Daily Express – Milan and Manchester United face competition from China for the 33-year-old’s signature.

The English outlet believe that Dalian Yifang want to try and lure Mandzukic to China, and are willing to make a ‘rich’ offer in order to convince him.
