Report: Contacts underway as Sampdoria want exit-bound Milan defender

By Isak Möller -

Andrea Conti is currently training with Milan ahead of the upcoming season as his loan with Parma expired at the end of June. However, it seems his future has already been decided and it won’t be at Milan.

The right-back joined Parma on loan in January and a buy-out option was included in the deal. It would have turned into an obligation if the Gialloblu had stayed up, but they were relegated and Conti was sent back to Milan.

According to Nicolo Schira, Sampdoria have set their sights on Conti for the right-hand side and are also working on Giuseppe Pezzella for the left. The latter had also been linked with Milan, who decided to go with Fode Ballo-Toure instead.

Contacts are underway between the Genoa side and Milan, per the journalist, and it’s clear that Conti will leave the club this summer. It just remains to be seen if it will be for Sampdoria or another club.
