There is absolutely nothing in the transfer speculation linking AC Milan with a move for playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu, according to a report.
In our exclusive interview with Christian Falk, the Bild journalist revealed that there is a ‘90% chance’ that Calhanoglu joins Premier League giants Manchester United on a free transfer.
Sky in Germany offered an update on the situation in their live blog yesterday, claiming that there are currently no advanced negotiations about a contract extension.
They added that ‘the signs point more and more to a move’ and that ‘one of the interested parties is Manchester United’ with several conversations having been held between the Premier League side and the player’s entourage.
However, according to what is being reported by reliable Manchester United outlet StrettyNews, it is ‘not the case’ that Calhanoglu is closing in on a move to United and these reports ‘could not be wider of the mark’.
They add that they have ‘recently obtained information from a close source’ who told them in no uncertain times that the ‘speculation coming out of Europe is not be believed, at all’.
In the battle between the English, Italian and the German press, we will see who is really right about Calhanoglu’s future.
