In addition to reinforcing the squad this month, Milan will also be looking to offload some players. The Rossoneri may have struggled with injuries, but there are some players that haven’t got the chance anyway.
Mateo Musacchio is one of them, having recovered from his long-term injury at the start of November. The Argentine is undoubtedly among the players that could leave the club this month, not included in the project any longer.
According to a report from Il Giornale (via MilanNews), however, the 30-year-old has rejected offers from Genoa and Turkish clubs. In fact, he has no intention of leaving Milan in January and will thus remain until the summer.
That is when his contract expires, meaning he can leave for free, although the Rossoneri most likely would have let him leave for free this month as well. But as he’s determined to stay, Milan will have to honour his contract (€2m gross outstanding).
