Report: Milan reach agreement with RB Salzburg star – will pay €25m release clause

By Isak Möller -

Dominik Szoboszlai was heavily linked with Milan at the beginning of the summer, having performed really well with RB Salzburg. However, the interested faded and the Rossoneri ended up signing other players.

As Szoboszlai has continued to impress, scoring the winner for Hungary last night to send them to the Euros, Milan are back on the attacking midfielder. According to Spanish outlet TF, they have even reached an agreement for the deal.

The Rossoneri will, per the report, pay the €25m release clause in the player’s contract to secure a January arrival. Arsenal were also interested, but Szoboslai eventually opted for Milan instead, knowing that he will have less competition in his role.

This report should be taken with a pinch of salt, as it isn’t the best source out there. It will be interesting to see if any confirmations will arrive from Italian media, who only have stated that Milan are interested thus far.

  1. ACM should get the deal done and stop playing around with Dominik Szoboszlai and sign him

Calhanoglu wants too much to resign and would be wise to get some money back on sale
