Report: Origi and Botman signings to take back seat as Milan focus on Investcorp takeover

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan’s attempts to sign new players have taken a backseat whilst focus is put on the sale of the club to Investcorp, according to reports on social media.

A report on social media from the Daily Express’ Ryan Taylor has said that the club’s attempts to sign new players will be put on hold until the takeover by Investcorp is complete.

Milan have been heavily linked with moves for a number of stars ever since it became clear that current owners Elliott Management are going to sell the club to Investcorp, who have more spending power.

As is often the case during a takeover, the negotiations to sign new players such as Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Lille’s Sven Botman have been shelved whilst the future of the club is resolved.

The deals are still very likely to go through, it will just take longer than some may have anticipated.
