Reports: Mattia De Sciglio caught up in fan row

By Rösie Tudball -

Mattia De Sciglio was reportedly verbally abused and harassed by Milan fans following their 2-1 defeat to Empoli at the San Siro this weekend.

The full-back hasn’t been in the fans, or the clubs good books since he was rumoured to have rejected a new contract to reportedly join Juventus at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old was substituted during Milan’s defeat, and was directed of the pitch to the sound of Milan fans jeers.

The rumours of his potential exit are expected to have fuelled the Milan fans to verbally riot against De Sciglio, things were not helped by his poor performance in the defeat.

When the game ended, the anger towards De Sciglio continued, as he reportedly exchanged insults with Milan ultra’s as he attempted to leave the stadium in his car, which was blocked by the supporters.

The Italian was freed from the unhappy supporters soon after.
