AC Milan have set their sights on Nicolo Zaniolo and although he was initially a target for the summer, the Rossoneri could move early. Down below is everything you need to know about the situation.
The rumours started to surface a few days ago as Zaniolo refused to take part in Roma’s game against Spezia. The Giallorossi excluded the attacking midfielder from the squad list and made it very clear afterwards that they prioritise the team, now willing to sell the player.
La Repubblica were the first to report yesterday that Milan could launch a loan with an obligation bid, with the amount set at €25m. They also added that Gerry Cardinale might sanction the deal already this month, and more reports have arrived during the day.
Milan’s interest has been confirmed as concrete, with the likes of Gianluca Di Marzio and MilanNews stating that contacts are underway with Zaniolo’s agent. The Rossoneri are willing to reach €25m including bonuses; a clause that will be activated in the event of Champions League qualification.
Roma want the obligation to be non-conditional, though, and their current request seems to be around €30m. Therefore, it remains to be seen if they will reduce the price tag and what Tottenham will do, as the English side is also in the race (but have not made a good enough offer yet).
According to Daniele Longo, Zaniolo prefers Milan over a move to any of the English clubs interested. The move could be made possible by the exit of Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has the same agents as the Roma man.
The kind of opportunity that won’t come twice. Not long ago his asking price was 50 mil. And to be able to get him for 25-30 is a bargain. Remember that he’s only 2 years older than Charles denext Kaka, so there’ll be nothing but a chance to improve in the future.
🤣🤣🤣 Charles Denext Kaka.
That’s a good one 👍
Bro that got me rolling you’re hillarious🤣🤣🤣
The truly hilarious thing from me was when the first time he’s hailed with the next Kaka after his debut. That’s the real joke.
CDK will shine in Milan, in sure he will
And Zaniolo won’t. I’m sure of that.
