Repubblica: Arnault wants to buy Milan and bring Allegri back – meeting scheduled with Elliott

By Oliver Fisher -

Yet more rumours have emerged linking Bernard Arnault with a takeover of AC Milan in the Italian media after months of speculation.

There has been widespread speculation that Arnault is interested in purchasing the Rossoneri from American hedge fund Elliott Management.

La Repubblica even went big with a report earlier in the year which stated that that Arnault has tabled a €975m bid to buy Milan, and a number of sources have continued to insist that the Frenchman has a genuine interest.

Now, the same paper (via MilanLive) claims that an important meeting is scheduled between Arnault and Gordon Singer.

The goal of the French business tycoon is clear: to take advantage of the media power of football and the brand of the most titled Italian team in the world to land in the city of fashion and luxury for new and great business opportunities.

In addition, the new stadium project gives another exciting stage with which the owner of the Louis Vuitton group can increase his influence in the fashion capital.

The price is the same: just under €1billion. If Arnault were to complete a takeover then he would want Max Allegri back as manager.
