AC Milan are continuing to push for the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in some capacity and a meeting is expected soon to clarify things regarding a potential role, a report claims.
La Repubblica (via PianetaMilan) talks about Ibrahimovic’s possible return to Milan after his emotional retirement in front of a sold out San Siro back in June. For the moment Ibra is enjoying spending time with his partner Helena as well as his sons Maximilian and Vincent.
However, he will soon dissolve his reservations about Milan’s call and there is a good chance that a new marriage will be celebrated between the parties.
Gerry Cardinale himself – the owner of the club – wants to push for the Swede’s return to Milan. There could be a new meeting soon and there is already talk of the role he could take at Milan as Cardinale’s consultant.
The paper specifies that the proposal is already on Zlatan’s table and the choice is entirely his.

Ibra to make up for Pioli’s deficiencies makes sense. But what happens to Ibra after Pioli? Or what happens when Ibra (inevitably) starts calling out Pioli on his BS calls?? Might split the camp in two…
We need to upgrade to a complete coach at some point who can nurture when needed and rule with a stick when needed.
Sounds like Ibra will be completely separate from the coaching part of the team. He will be closer to the position Gazidis had rather than a manager position.
Some people have the ability to make everyone around them better and Ibra is one of those people. He made Emanuelson, Nocerino, Balotelli, Bonaventura quality players while he was there, for example. He made Pioli a winner, while he was there. Cardinale is right to bring him back and to keep him separate from the coaching staff that he may one day have to fire for Cardinale… Also, Ibra would be great to send on scouting trips to get a big name youngster to sign.
There is really no drawback to bringing in Ibra. There will be a temporary period of tension while certain personality types clash with Ibra but that’s necessary with any big personel chance.
