Repubblica: Raiola is in Italy for meeting with Milan – the latest on Donnarumma’s renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

Agent Mino Raiola is in Milano at the moment and will meet with AC Milan to tackle a number of different issues related to his clients, a report claims.

Wednesday’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanLive) claims that a negotiation is already underway to secure Gianluigi Donnarumma’s renewal.

The latest news reports indicate a potential two-year renewal until 2023, with a lower base than the current €6million-a-year but with the inclusion of bonuses it would also allow that figure to be surpassed.

There may also be a release clause inserted to protect the player in the event that the club do not qualify for the Champions League.

There are also other discussions to be had such as the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as well as the potential contract extension of Alessio Romagnoli whose deal expires in 2022, with the club keen to avoid another Donnarumma-esque scenario.

The same paper also claim that Bernard Arnault is looking to buy the club but that confirmations have arrived from Red Bull over Ralf Rangnick’s imminent move to Milan.
