Robert Lewandowski is an option for AC Milan in the summer, and as a report claims, the Rossoneri are currently evaluating if that option is feasible.
It feels like we say it every season, but Milan’s biggest problem this campaign has been finding the back of the net. Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic have been played as strikers to stop the bleeding, but now that this hasn’t worked either, the Rossoneri are truly in a crisis.
For next season, as such, Milan want to protect themselves and have some more guarantees. While it might not be what many fans want to hear, the Rossoneri have once again turned their attention to an Olivier Giroud-esque solution, i.e. signing an experienced striker who will score.
Milan are probing the ground
Lewandowski has been linked with the club quite a lot, with the most recent report dropping just yesterday, and he appears to be an actual option for them. Renewal talks with Barcelona haven’t progressed massively and the striker is now evaluating his options.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the Polish striker, stating that Milan and Juventus are trying to understand the situation. They are not the only ones interested, though, which could be an issue.
“Lewandowski isn’t happy with the first proposal from Barcelona. They are still talking to his agent, so it remains open. He has other possibilities: a very concrete possibility in MLS, there have been calls from Saudi Arabia again, and Italian clubs. Juve and Milan are trying to understand the situation,” he stated.

He is refusing a contract that Milan can’t offer him. They should move on to a better target, Lewandowski is delusional as he expects to earn 10M net at 39… Time for Saudi Arabia for him. Modric signed for how much per season?
Boy, for someone who wants maximum bank, it’s hard to weigh up the pros and cons of MLS vs. Saudi Arabia. Both are huge money and a huge drop in prestige. If I was choosing and bank was my only goal, I’d go MLS and live in a nice place.
OTOH, If I wanted to burnish my all-time legacy like Modric, I’d come to Milan.
I don’t have an issue with Lewa. But it’s when we go for targets like this or Goretzka that is further proof that we don’t have an actual sporting plan for this club. And that’s why we’ll never challenge for anything other than CL placement.
