Milan could sign a striker next month as Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be out for longer than expected, having sustained a second injury. However, they will only do so if there is a good opportunity on the market.
In recent weeks, Depay has been mentioned as a possible target as his contract will expire in the summer. Lyon, therefore, are willing to sell him in January but Fabrizio Romano has denied that Milan are interested.
On the Here We Go Podcast (via RouteOneFootball), the Sky Italia journalist stated that the Rossoneri have denied the transfer rumours. The only club working on Depay is Barcelona, as they already have an agreement with the striker on a contract.
They have to offload a few players before making the decisive attempt, though, which could invite competitors. Milan won’t be one of them and have decided to focus on other areas, such as the centre-back position.
