Alexis Saelemaekers is one step away from leaving AC Milan after saying yes to joining Bologna. The clubs have reached an agreement and the move is only a matter of time, as reported by Fabrizio Romano this evening.
Bologna’s interest in the winger became apparent in the last few days and earlier today, it was reported by various sources that the player was just one step away. As added by Fabrizio Romano this evening, it’s a done deal.
Saelemaekers will join the Rossoblu in a loan with option to buy deal, with the loan costing €500k and the option being set at €10m. In case the latter is triggered next summer, Milan will thus make a capital gain on the player.
There have been no reports regarding the player’s salary for this season, but given that he earns just €1m per year it’s not that important anyway. The official announcement should arrive in the coming days, as the medical needs to take place first.
Good luck to Saelemaekers.
The production was often lacking but the effort was always 💯.
Calabria will miss him the most. Saelemaekers playing in front of Calabria on the right side made Calabria look better than he actually is.
100 % i agree with you
Calabria played 3 of his best games (against Napoli) with Brahim as RW, so what you are saying is not necessarily true.
You mean the 3 games where Milan double and triple teamed Kvara on the Calabria side?
Tonali Come back? With the way things are going at Newcastle he just might. First game gave it all, then disappeared the next two games. Horrible against Liverpool at home.
Did u watch the game vs Pool? Trent was supposed to be sent off as well as VvD…they should have been playing with 9 men. On top of that, Newcastle as a team was wasteful. Tonali provided, the guys either didn’t latch on to the balls or were wasteful in front of goal..and Pool sucker punched them. Goals and assists are great immediate stats but they don’t tell the full story.
The “other game” in question is vs the best team in the world which was 1-0. No one comes out of that fixture looking good, most of the times. And he did ok relative to the others. On a whole 1-0 vs City isn’t bad.
I did watch it, and I can say is that Tonali was far from impressive, and has basically vanished the past two games. He’s not being a complete midfielder. We’re better off the way we are now. In a big way.
Ok fair enough
I wasn’t against the sale because it helped us sign a lot of talented players, but I would love to see him again with his favorite rossonera in the future. He is a very talented and clever midfielder who gives his 100% in every aspect of the game. I also belive Newcastle and Prem will help him to improve and upgrade his game.
Ok fair enough
Don’t think they will redeem him even if he does play well. They’re not in great financial shape
Good Luck. Hope he shows off and gets bought out. Belgians are OUT.
Don’t think he is gonna get a lot of game time there 2 be honest. Bologna has decent starting winger
Not much room for him any longer in the squad so i can understand the sale but as ive always liked him i do think its a pretty good deal for bologna if they choose to sign him down the road . Best of wishes to him.
Always liked him too, but something never quite clicked. I hope he finds his best form and grows into a real elite club starter. Best of luck.
Bologna will never pay 10M for him. And next summer he will be worth half what he is worth now
Heard from some Italian sources it’s going to be 1 million for the loan and 12 million for right to redeem. That sounds even better.
I think bologna have european ambitions for next season. Salemakers would be a good signing for them.
A loan deal would suit them but not us.
I think they sign him with the intention of selling Orsolini next season.
He just renew with Bologna but I think it is just so he won’t leave for free next season.
Loan w/ option to buy, as expected. Unless he performs miracle, it’s hard to see him being redeemed next season.
It’s sad to see him go since he never complaints and always plays with his heart. I love his solo run goal against Napoli and feels he can become a great RW.
If it’s up to me, i prefer to keep him as Pulisic backup.
We already have Chuk (should’ve been our main RW but not seeing it in the near future given how Pulisic performa) and Romero and that post. So it’s sensible to let Alexis go. And we even haven’t talked about talk about the off the field rumors.
I hope Salad play as RB or WB there and improve then come back so we will have cover for RB
I can’t believe we ACTUALLY got rid of Salad!
Calabria isn’t great, but he’ll be better with Chuk and Mr. USA in front of him.
All soccer experts, those who think they are, fans and many more, have been writing and discussing for several years that we don’t have a right wing and that this limits us extremely. Now we have Christian and apparently all be proved right. What remains is great amazement, why we cutting corners and many thanks to rafa. Next, happy to have at least one Italian, but there is not any other team whose weak point is captain.
Well done to salamakers…wish him all the best .
I think he will do well at Bologna …He had some good games for us !
I think Bologna are a better team than many give them credit for ..As long as they beat inter and Napoli along the way will be great ..
