Saelemaekers discusses Cagliari clash and return of fans: “Now we have positive pressure”

By Isak Möller -

Just like in the opener against Sampdoria, Alexis Saelemaekers will be the starting right-winger for AC Milan this evening as they will face Cagliari. The youngster, of course, has a point to prove attacking-wise.

The Rossoneri have been linked with several right-wingers this summer and want to find one before the transfer window ends. This could mean trouble for Saelemaekers, who hasn’t been prolific enough on the right flank.

Ahead of tonight’s game between Milan and Cagliari, as cited by MilanNews, Saelemaekers spoke to MilanTV about the game. He also shared his thoughts on the fact that there will be almost 40K fans present at San Siro tonight.

The opener at home…

“The team is very focused on the game, we want to show that we are a great team.”

On Cagliari…

“We saw in the last game here that Cagliari aren’t a walk in the park. We will try to show what we have tried in the week with the coach on the pitch.”

On the return of the fan…

“Now we have a little more positive pressure, we are all very happy to see the fans again. We will try to win for them.”

Hopefully, the Rossoneri will claim another three points in front of their fans, who have been waiting for this moment for a long time. Indeed, it will be very special to hear them in the stands again and we can expect it to be loud.
