Saelemaekers thanks Pioli for recent trust and says ‘I will try to play an excellent game’

Following the 1-1 draw against Atalanta, AC Milan will face Sampdoria this evening with the hopes of keeping the race for fifth place alive. Alexis Saeleamaekers shared his thoughts on the game just a few minutes ago. 

The Belgian has played five games from start since the restart, featuring in all games except one due to suspension. This evening, he will get the chance from the first minute once again, Favoured ahead of Samu Castillejo on the right flank.

As mentioned, he was interviewed by Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) ahead of the game and thanked Stefano Pioli for the trust.

“I’m proud that the manager believes in me and that he is making me play a lot, the more the games pass and the more I gain trust. I will try to play an excellent game to still be the starter in the next game and to help my team,” he stated.
