CorSport: Sampdoria must offload Murillo before moving for Milan defender

By Euan Burns -

Sampdoria need to find a new club for Jeison Murillo before they can make a move for either AC Milan’s Matteo Gabbia or Juventus’ Daniele Rugani, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the sporting director at Sampdoria, Daniele Faggiano, is working hard to get former Inter defender Murillo off of the books so that they can move for other defenders.

The two players that they are weighing up moves for are Rugani from Juve and Milan’s Gabbia.

Milan are in a similar situation though in the sense that they will not be sanctioning a loan move for Gabbia until they have signed a defensive target such as Abdou Diallo or Japhet Tanganga.

It is not clear how close Murillo is to finding a new club but the Colombian is certainly on his way out of the Ligurian side who could be in for a tough campaign as it stands.
