Tomori woeful, Allegri not much better: Sassuolo-Milan player ratings from the Italian papers

AC Milan’s Champions League hopes suffered yet another blow on Sunday as they were beaten by Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

As was rather predictable given their respective records in games against Milan, it was Domenico Berardi and Armand Lauriente who did the damage with goals early in each half. Fikayo Tomori was sent off after getting two yellows before the interval to make it an even more disastrous afternoon.

The draw between Como and Napoli plus the fact Juventus dropped points at home to Verona mean other results have done the Rossoneri a bit of a favour, though they are making sure the top four race goes right to the wire.

As you’d imagine, the worst ratings were given to Fikayo Tomori, which was the same as our own player ratings. Then, Strahinja Pavlovic was deemed the best of a bad bunch, scoring a six across the board.
