Sassuolo handed boost for Milan clash as key player’s ban has been overturned

Sassuolo have been handed a boost ahead of their clash against AC Milan at the San Siro tomorrow afternoon. Davide Frattesi, who is a key player for the Neroverdi, will be available after all.

The midfielder was initially set to miss out on tomorrow’s clash as he was handed a one-game ban by the Sporting Judge. The reason? blasphemous comments that were made during Sassuolo’s 2-2 draw against Cagliari last week.

Sassuolo decided to appeal the decision and they managed to overturn the ban, as confirmed by the FIGC (via MilanNews). This means that Frattesi will be available tomorrow and that is a big boost for the away side.

The 22-year-old has played every single game from start this season and he has scored three goals in the process. You can understand why head coach Alessio Dionisi wanted to have him in the starting XI tomorrow, in other words.
