Sassuolo CEO confirms they will ‘evaluate’ offers for ‘promising’ Milan target

AC Milan are looking for a midfielder ahead of next season and one of the players that have been linked with them is Davide Frattesi. Sassuolo’s CEO has also confirmed that he could leave the club.

Frattesi has found the back of the net seven times this season, once against Milan, and has caught the attention of the big clubs in the league. Just three days ago, Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that the Rossoneri believe he could be a great fit.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnebvali was asked about the future of Frattesi amid the rumours. He admitted that the club will evaluate the offers this summer, suggesting he could be sold.

“I have to advertise and promote him in the best way (laughs). He’s one of the most promising players and I’m not hiding the inquiries, we’ll evaluate. The transfer market lasts 365 days a year but we’re not in the hot moment yet,” he stated.

Milan are also working on Ruben Loftus-Cheek for the midfield and it remains to be seen if there is room for another midfield signing within the budget. In any case, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to be prepared and keep their options open.
